No turning back

Last weekend was hell on earth, I'm just now able to sit by the computer because I'm home alone. My dad somehow found out about me going out and staying out late, and ordered me not to leave the house for a week. I used to love staying in, being with my family, but lately it's all felt like the biggest hypochrisy in the world. Dad dragged me to church Sunday and for the first time I heard those words about God and his infinite kindness like shameless lies. I don't know if to be sad or angry, but I guess I'm a little of both. I just want things to go back to how they were, but it's too late now. And then what?

  1. I like that you brought up going to church lol. I don't go to church, but I consider myself a Catholic. You don't have to go to church to be religious. Especially since the majority of people who go are a bunch of hypocrites. Some of the priests are too, obviously.

Hope you have a great rest of the week! :)

  5. ive only been to church once
my step-grandpa took me a few years before he died
i spent the entire service quietly singing disney in my head (i was about 8)
ive never believed in god so the bald guy in black talking to us just seemed kind of silly to me

  8. I went through a phase like that and so did my sister. As time went on, we grew out of our families, but now I've become so attached again, they can't shake me off! hope things will be ok for you x

  9. Try to never confuse the kindness of God (the heavenly father) with the kindess (or lack of!) of your Dad (your earthly father).

  18. Sorry about your dad. :( At least you got punished for doing something exciting! When Mum used to punish me, it was always for no reason (which really means it was so SHE could go out and get sh*tfaced and I had to sit home and babysit little sis).

I have mixed feelings on Church. We were raised extremely (Irish) Catholic, so I have a lot of bad feelings towards religion and God in general, but then I also think that people just have the wrong idea about God. The infinite kindness is there--it's the worshippers who are spewing the shameless lies.

    Hang in there, luv!!

  19. Ohhh boo... I hate it when I get in a fight with my grandpa (he raised me hehe not my parents).

AHHh and I hate going to church. That itself is people full of hypocrites. I think what I would like to do is take my kids to church for the sermon and then LEAVE! hehe... Just go in and then out! That's my plan. Because I know that God is love, but not He's people. They throw moodswings like no tomorrow. Anyway, it's been a week since you've blogged... I'm sure that you're okay now!
