Ok, all or nothing, I'm going out to meet Avy's friend. My heart is pounding, I'm such a coward. Also, I'm realizing that I've never really had any friends, at least not more than one or two. That's what makes me so socially awkward, it has to be. Well, never too late for second chances, right? I hope she brings some more people so I don't have to do too much talking, I'm better at listening, for better or for worse.
For the first time in months I really miss my family.
You're not alone. I understand completely
ReplyDeleteok birdie you're ready to fly, & if you fall, you can flap your wings & try again. i believe.
ReplyDeleteBaby steps huh?Glad to hear you took this leap.Looking forward to hear more about this friend of Avy's.
ReplyDeleteLove,Just.
I can really relate to this post, because I can be rather socially awkward too. I've met people who walk into the room and automatically become the life of the party. They make it seem so easy, but I've recently come to realize that for most of us, it's a lot of work; it's just some of us are just better at making it look glamorous. I'm glad you're giving it a try, I don't doubt that you can overcome the initial awkwardness and embrace new people. Even more so, as great of a listener as you may be, I know you have equally important things to share with others too. For one, we happen to know you're a wonderful writer. :)
ReplyDeletei love talkative people
ReplyDeletetalking is not so bad, when you have something to talk about. talk about things you love. :)
ReplyDeleteThis sounds familliar. When you do have friends, you'll realize you missed something. I had the same. I felt happier when I finally made some friends. I don't know you but I think this is a great step for you (:
