Inferno

One other thing has changed of course, and that's my relation to Tom. At first I thought he was my Vergilius leading my through hell, but somewhere along the way I got lost. He's an amazing person and I really do love him, but I need to become that better version of myself before I can give myself to him.

He calls me every now and then and we talk about everything and nothing. There is so much I want to tell him but I'm afraid he'll be lost forever if I do. It's better to stay quiet until we can be together again.

And obviously, the person standing in the middle of all this, without even knowing it, is Henry.

  2. I can completely relate to how you feel about Tom. Those first two paragraphs are like you're reading my mind about someone I'm longing to be with, but can't quite yet. So, because I know how it is to go through such a frustrating love, I sincerely hope things work out for you.

May the force be with you.

  3. I liked your reference to Dante's "Inferno." That's where Vigil guided Dante through hell.

Tom is your Virgil. Or, rather, he was. But somehow you've wondered off. And now you're lost.

How did you get lost? You don't say. But you seem to blame memories of Henry.

Henry's not the reason, though. The reason is that both Tom and Henry love you.

And you, Stephanie, rightfully see no reason to choose.
